If you know me, or if you know anyone who knows me, then you probably are aware that I like to write stories with a twist. Some stories are gross, some are weird, and some are poignant.

I think this story falls firmly into the “poignant” category. The editor at 101Words.org called it “timely and a heartbreaker.” I hope you, dear reader, agree.

You can read all 101 words of the story here: A Farmer’s Elegy.

Leave me a message here (below) or on the 101Word.org site and tell me what you think.

Enjoy!

🙂 I like how you write stories with a twist. You do a great job. And, you’ve taught me a lot about how to write 101 word stories.

I agree with the editor :).

It is a sad story, and I feel for her. It is so timely too, and it is a heartbreaking and accurate reflection of reality. Kudos, Jon.

    Take care.
